Great casual wear Apr 27, 2011
By Phil I have owned this bracelet now for years. I dress very casually nice when I go out on the weekends and I wanted to have nice jewelry to accentuate my look. I must say that this piece is EXCELLENT for casual wear!!! The piece is still very shiny and has a quality look even after 2 years. I wear this bracelet ONLY on the weekends (2 days in a row wear at most) when I go out on the town. So far the clasp has remained sturdy and closes without any problems. If I had to speculate I would say that the clasp could wear out eventually with everyday usage because of the way that it is made. After a time you will need to take a cloth and clean in between the design on the face of the bracelet as it will get spotted just like all steel jewelry. However, after a good clean it will sparkle and have a grand visual appeal once again. The rubber is sturdy and the twisted steel cable maintains it's form with no problem. Also, the 2 square links on either side of the bracelet do tend to move, but that does not take away from the clean look of the item. Overall great bracelet, shipped in a timely manner, and a wonderful seller. Final thoughts: This bracelet may be a little too sporty for elegant wear such as a suit or evening gown. I would definitely stick to wearing it with casual gear although you could probably swing it with more formal attire as well.
I really liked it, until in broke in about 1 week. Sep 18, 2010
By Peter N I really liked this bracelet a lot, and I expected it to be really strong due to its "stainless steel" construction.
But, it looks like the stainless steel isn't really welded together, it's sort of "clamped" together at the clasp.
And, when my friends and I were playing a little rough outside, the steel cable separated from the clasp, effectively breaking the bracelet. I looked at the break, and since there wasn't any glue reside, I can only conclude that it was sort of "pinched" or "clamped" together. I wish it were a single continuous loop of steel welded together. It's clearly not.
My friends and I certainly can't accidentally pull apart a steel cable with our hands.
Too bad...
