By M. Sarrao I bought these in gray and they are very nice and pretty. These gloves are not particularly warm, but they are good for keeping in my gray coat's pockets for when I forget to bring warm gloves along. The "velvet" trim along the edge, is only on the top side of the gloves. It doesn't go all the way around. The crochet flower adds a nice feminine touch. I have L hands, and these fit snugly. So, they should fit most people. I love how they come in a large variety of colors. Great gift.
